Julio Alanís Interview(s)

PHNX Jury Interview 2024

Why did you think it was important to join the PHNX jury this year?
Because I believe that the industry should have a more open perspective, with talent that includes Latin American countries and profiles that are not necessarily part of a network or independent agencies but independent profiles in their entirety.
What do you think of our hybrid jury, featuring creatives but also strategists, clients and people from all corners of the industry?
I think this helps us have a more open perspective. It is an opportunity to judge creativity with profiles that see beyond ideas.
What do you think of the idea of free entry until the shortlist stage?
I think it's something that democratizes creativity. It's a way to make visible the work of agencies and independent creatives who don't necessarily allocate a budget for it.
How would you define the perfect PHNX Awards winner?
It must be a good creative work, done carefully and with great visual impact.
What is having the biggest impact on creative trends at the moment?
Inclusion, diversity, new technologies and authentic connection with brands
Who would you nominate as your two or three “creatives of the year”?
- Andy Pearson
- Roberto Lastra
- Anselmo Ramos
