About me

Mary Warlick is an award winning documentarian. As Executive Producer of Art & Copy, which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in 2009, she won an Emmy when the film was screened on IFC.

More recently, she was the Executive Producer of The Real Mad Men and Women of Madison Avenue, which premiered on PBS in the summer of 2013, and won an Emmy in New York. Currently she is executive producer of Chicago.Ad Town, a documentary recording the advertising history and tradition in Chicago.

Mary Warlick is the former Chief Executive Officer of The One Club, a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting excellence in advertising.

In 2008, Ms. Warlick launched One Show Entertainment recognizing the intersection of entertainment and advertising, and creating a West Coast presence.

She has also been a fierce champion of The One Club’s Creative Hall of Fame, and is currently writing a book about the members of the Creative Hall of Fame.

In 2008, Ms Warlick co-curated an exhibition held at New York Public Library, The Real Men and Women of Madison Avenue, focusing on 75 years of advertising personalities.

Ms. Warlick wrote Advertising’s Ten Best of the Decade, 1980–1990, and has contributed articles on advertising in numerous trade publications. She has been interviewed as an authority on the industry in the New York Times, Advertising Age, Fast Company and Creativity, and has appeared on CNN, Fox, and other television news outlets. She has lectured extensively on advertising trends throughout the U.S. and in China, Italy, France, Singapore and Japan.

In 2012, Ms. Warlick was named one of Advertising Age’s Most Influential Women in Advertising. She earned an undergraduate degree in Fine Arts from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, and graduate degrees from SUNY-Binghamton and Columbia University.
