Chris started his advertising career at Dorlands in 1984. Three years later he joined Abbott Mead Vickers (AMV) where he climbed the ranks of account management and within two years was on the Agency Board. Chris took over responsibility for Volvo Cars UK in 1991 where he grew the business winning the launch of the S40 and V40 series across Europe. He then became New Business Director and led the New Business League in London with incremental billings of over £130m.
Chris joined Ammirati Puris Lintas in September 1997 as Managing Director and is now Chief Executive of Lowe.
Chris has spent 30 years in the adverting business – 25 years of those at BBDO. His formative years were spent at Abbott Mead Vickers BBDO in the U.K. – running large national clients and European assignments.
He spent three years as the CEO of Proximity London, where he was one of the architects of building the Proximity network globally.
In 2006, he moved to Singapore to take responsibility for the development and positioning of BBDO & Proximity in Asia, later adding the Middle East and Africa. BBDO Asia has emerged in the last five years as a powerful leader – for creativity, effectiveness and growth. BBDO was APAC Network of the Year Cannes 2014, APAC Network of the Year Effie Global Index 2014, Network of the Year Spikes Asia Festival 2014 and Asian Marketing Effectiveness & Strategy Festival Network of the Year 2012, 2013, and 2014. Chris was Campaign’s Asia Pacific head of the year twice in the last five years.
In May 2015, Chris moved to New York to take up the role of CEO in the Americas with responsibilities for 21 agencies in the U.S., Canada, and Latin America. He remains Chairman of Proximity Worldwide and Chairman of I&S BBDO in Japan.
