BriefThere’s a new type of metal on the market: Humanium, made entirely from destroyed illegal firearms. Its purpose is threefold: first, it destroys illegal firearms, one of the world’s biggest and most pressing problems; second, it creates the first supply chain that brings a new kind of “conscious” metal to brands, artists, designers and challenges them to find ways to use it; and third, it generates local income and creates a new source of funding for victims of armed violence, the rebuilding of conflict torn societies and poorly-funded weapon destruction programs.
