A graduate from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts and a founding member of the Brooklyn-based filmmaking collective Waverly Films, Jake Schreier began his career making short films and music videos. Jake signed with Park Pictures in 2006 and appeared on “Best New Directors” lists for Creativity, Shots, Boards, and Shoot magazines. He’s partnered with top agencies like Goodby, Silverstein & Partners, Heat, Mcgarrybowen, and TBWA and has helmed campaigns for clients like The Bouqs, Absolut, Comcast, Playstation, EA Sports, Verizon, and Time Warner Cable among many others. Jake has also directed a number of music videos for acts like My Morning Jacket and Francis and the Lights.
In 2012 Jake completed his feature directorial debut, ROBOT & FRANK, which stars Frank Langella, Susan Sarandon, James Marsden, Liv Tyler, and Peter Sarsgaard. The film premiered at the 2012 Sundance Film Festival, where it won the Alfred P. Sloane prize.
Jake recently directed an episode of the new Amazon series ALPHA HOUSE, written by Gary Trudeau, starring John Goodman, Matt Molloy, Bill Murray, and Mark Consuelos.
