The latest talent to join the Rattling Stick roster, Benjamin is a world-renowned choreographer, dancer and emerging director. Born in Bordeaux France, Benjamin has spent the majority of his dancing life working in the US.
In 2010 Benjamin choreographed and featured in Darren Aronofsky’s award-winning feature film, Black Swan. That year, Benjamin also directed his first short featuring Lea Seydoux and a score by Angelo Badalamenti. Since then, he has directed a number of short films in collaboration with various artists including Mark Bradford, Philip Glass, IO Echo, Lil Buck and Zeds Dead. Benjamin is now directing on a regular basis.
In 2012 Benjamin co-founded The Amoveo Company a cultural multi-media production company with composer and producer Nicholas Brittell, which has recently forged a partnership with Rattling Stuff. In January 2013 Benjamin was announced as the incoming Director at the Paris Opera Ballet.
Benjamin’s work is characterized by a beautiful aesthetic with distinctive pace and energy. Currently largely choreography focused, Benjamin’s future directorial endeavours include commercials, promos, content, television and film projects as he aspires to bring his rhythmic sense to more dramatic and visual narratives.
