Sam Rowland

Sam Rowland

Director at Indy8
London, United Kingdom

About me

Originally from Newcastle, Sam has worked with a wide range of sports, fashion and charity clients for documentary style content as well as directing narrative fictional music videos for the likes of The Cuban Brothers. He has directed content films for Nike, Oxfam, Lycra, Mercedes, Selfridges, Dazed & Confused and The Commonwealth Games.

His film Tired of Playing Basketball picked up Best Film at the ‘This London’ Short Film Competition and ‘Best Documentary’ at the Limelight 2012 Awards.

Whilst writing and developing his own fictional shorts, he currently has a feature documentary about the drug smuggler and activist Howard Marks, AKA ‘Mr Nice’, in production.

Sam is able to work with almost any sized crew and brings a beautiful humanity and reality to his work, which we love and we think you will too.
