Kevan Funk is a Canadian-born Writer and Director who has had numerous short films earning awards at festivals around the world. Kevan was introduced to the arts at an early age, being raised in and around his parents’ grassroots theatre company.
In 2010, his short film, “A Fine Young Man” premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival and went on to win the Grand Jury Prix at the Melbourne International Film Festival, garnering Kevan three 2011 Leo Awards (Best Short Film, Best Direction, Best Screenwriting). His directing style and writing portrays topics of the day in a real-life, heartfelt way that provides a look into the subject’s experience throughout each film.
