One of the first to work in Marketing Procurement over 30 years ago.
I established many of the first Marketing Procurement teams in the UK for Cellnet (Telefonica), SB (GSK) and Orange & France Telecom. From Lucozade Sports bottles to Orange Arrows Formula One Racing, there isn't a category of marketing that I haven't had experience of.
My USP for a buyer is that I then worked supplier / agency side by joining Grey Advertising as their Commercial Director, negotiating with the Agencies many clients, and managing the agency overheads. I then did the same role at Lowe Advertising. An experience that taught me how agencies work commercially.
In 2006 I set up Tina Fegent Consulting to offer a Marketing Procurement Consultancy service to clients.
Clients have included Adidas, Age UK, BBC, British Land, Debenhams, KPMG, Moneysupermarket.com, RNLI, SSE, Vodafone, William Hill and John Lewis and Waitrose.
I work at a strategic level to help identify what is required to make marketing procurement a success in an organisation. Market knowledge and stakeholder engagement being some of my key attributes. I manage and work alongside clients and agencies to make sure that the right relationships are in place with the right agencies at the right commercial terms. I mentor and I train procurement teams as well.
I have chaired the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) Specialist knowledge Group on Marketing Purchasing since its inception in 2006. I was a key contributor to the Magic and Logic initiative within the marketing industry. I undertake a lot of external speaking engagements on marketing procurement as well as contributing to many press articles as well.
I was awarded a Women in Marketing Award in 2013/14 for the Best Female Marketer: Independent Consultant.
Specialties: Purchasing of all Marketing categories. Strategic Sourcing. Category Management and Supplier Relationship Management. Mentoring. Training. Recruitment.
