Josh Mahan is a Director, Animator and Art Director originally from North Carolina. His commercial clients include Cartoon Network, NBC, Oxygen, TBS, Marvel, Vice and Hasbro.
He is currently animating on a TBA feature film with Chiodo Brothers Productions. His most recent roles include Art Director on Season Two of Cartoon Network’s The Shivering Truth with director Cat Solen (2020), Lead Animator on the short The Grave Of St. Oran with director Jim Batt and narration by Neil Gaiman (2019), and Lead Animator and Art Director on the short film Bartleby with directors Laura Naylor & Kristen Kee (2017).
His work as Lead Animator on Leah Meyerhoff’s debut feature I Believe in Unicorns was lauded by critics from Variety to the New York Times. His work has also been featured in Portlandia, College Humor and the documentary feature The Magic of Heineken (2014). His short films have screened at festivals worldwide including Aspen Shortsfest, Palm Springs, Shorts Fest, SXSW, Coachella and the Sydney Film Festival.
