Nikos is the Creative Director and founder of Marlon Tate. Described as ‘sensitive, considered and essentially poetic’, he is best known for creating ideas driven visual identities and advertising campaigns for creative clients. In 2020, he branded Greece’s first coliving brand, ‘Ilior’, as an imaginary country and in 2021 he launched East London’s biggest urban regeneration project as a cultural moment.
Nikos rose into prominence when it was announced that he is collaborating with friend and famous photographer Polly Brown on a trilogy of sci-fi projects entitled ‘Time travel branding’. The first chapter of the trilogy premiered at the prestigious ATypI conference in New York and received positive reviews from critics and press, who praised Nikos’ ‘fictitious but brilliant universe’.
Before Marlon Tate, Nikos spent a decade in London working as an art director for Frieze Art Fair and Fashion Space Gallery. He taught Branding at London College of Communication from 2017 to 2021 and in 2018, he was named the first-ever Head of Graphics of Pollard Thomas Edwards overseeing the award-winning brand narrative of Eastman Village. Nikos also serves as the Creative Director of ‘Moments’ magazine for the popular Greek newspaper ‘Kathimerini’ and Archisearch. He studied at Vakalo (BA Hons, MA) and at Camberwell College of Arts (MA) in London, conducting practice-based research exploring the relation between Identity and Archives.
