Twenty-two years ago Bobby Pawar came into the business by accident. Bobby’s story of how the accident in question came to be is long and, despite his protestations to the contrary, rather unfunny.
His first boss told him that he would be better served if he pursued a career in account management. It would be fair to say Bobby has exceeded expectations, except those of his father who wanted him be an engineer.
Bobby’s journey has seen him till the creative soil in agencies in India and the USA. In the process, he did very successful work for some the biggest brands in the world; AT&T Wireless, American Express, Garnier, IBM, Jaguar, Kitkat, Maggi, Microsoft, Motorola, Nescafé, Nokia, Pepsi, Philips, Wrigley’s, Vicks, Volkswagen, etc.
His work has made him one of the most awarded Indian creatives, a multiple winner of the Copywriter of the year accolade and Campaign Magazine’s 2011 Creative Person of the year for South Asia.
Prior to taking over the mantle of CCO, Publicis South Asia, Bobby did a stint as the Chief Creative Officer of JWT India and he had a long run at DDB Mudra, at both places he was responsible for turning around the creative fortunes of the agency.
