George Gier is one of the founding partners of The Leap Partnership. He formed the agency after three years at DDB Needham/Chicago, where he was Vice President, Creative Director.
George previously worked at Hal Riney & Partners in San Francisco, where his principal assignment was the introduction of Saturn automobiles. Prior to his arrival at Riney, George spent four years at Fallon McElligott in Minneapolis, where he worked on Lee Jeans, Porsche, Federal Express, Gilbey's Gin and Time/Life Books.
George's work has been recognized at numerous prestigious award shows, including the Clios and the One Show. He has also twice been a finalist for the Stephen E. Kelly Awards.
In 1993, George was named Midwest Copywriter of the year by Adweek magazine. In 1994, George was named a National Creative All-Star by Adweek.
