Richard Gorodecky

Richard Gorodecky is an independent writer, creative director and filmmaker.

As a writer and creative director he honed his skills at Wieden & Kennedy Amsterdam for eight years, before founding the brand content agency Amsterdam Worldwide in 2008, where he spent another eight years. He has won over sixty industry awards including a Cannes Gold Lion, the Grand Prix at Eurobest, and a Silver Effie. He has been featured in a number of books and publications and a selection of his work is in the permanent collection at Museum for Art and Craft in Hamburg.

As a filmmaker his recent documentary The River Man won Best Short Documentary at Catmarthen Bay Film Festival, was shortlisted for the Grand Prix and Best Documentary at Cork Film Festival, and was a Finalist for Best Short at Big Sky Film Festival. It has, so far, been in the Official Selection of thirteen international film festivals. He was short-listed in 2015 for Best International New Director at Kinsale. His new film, Little Shit, is currently in production.

Richard’s career in communications has covered many disciplines, including copywriting, art direction, directing, and graphic design. He has won over fifty industry awards, and nice things have been written about him in various books and magazines.
Richard has specialised in international communication for the last fifteen years and has had the pleasure of working with some of the greatest brands in the world including Chevrolet, Opel, Onitsuka Tiger, Panasonic, Nike, Hypo-Vereinsbank, Coca-Cola, Siemens, Audi, Wyborowa Wodka, Heineken, Electronic Arts, Gore-Tex, Pernod-Ricard and Intel.
