Camilo Carvajal graduated in advertising from Jorge Tadeo Lozano University in Bogotá / Colombia, at the end of his studies he specialized in copywriting at the School of Creatives "La Escuelita" in Buenos Aires / Argentina. He start his career as Copy in Saatchi & Saatchi Argentina. After a years, enters a Leo Burnett Colombia as Copy Junior, starting a long career at the agency where he becomes Creative Director.
At Leo Burnett, he managed local and regional brands such as: ABInBev (Beer Club Colombia / Beer Redd´s) ETB (Telecommunications Company of Bogotá), Bolívar Insurance, Alpina (Colombian dairy company), Toyota, Cotton USA, WWF, Colombian Red Cross, National Papers, Andiarios, among others.
He is currently Chief Creative Officer in Publicis Colombia leading brands such as: Renault, Heineken, Soberana Beer, Scotiabank / Colpatria, Axa Insurance, Purina, Nestlé, Groupe SEB, Santafé Mall Medellín, among others.
In his creative leadership, he gave Publicis Colombia the first two Lions of Cannes in the history of the agency, one of them the first Gold Lion in Product Design for the country, also several Golds and Grand Prixs in different international awards leading to Publicis to be the best agency of the year in Colombia.
Camilo, also won and led the creative campaign for the worldwide launch of the first Renault pickup in its history (Renault Alaskan) and during his direction, he has won several local and regional pitches, thus increasing the creative and business reputation of the agency.
Among its awards and recognitions are: Cannes Lions, London International Awards, Clio Awards, One Show, New York Festivals, FIAP, El Sol, Wave Festival, El Ojo de Iberoamérica, Effie Awards, El Dorado Fest (Colombian local award), among others.
Addition, he has been a jury in the many festivals like, New York Festival (New York), El Sol (Spain), AdStars (Korea), Wave Festival (Brazil), Ojo de Iberoamerica (Argentina) among others.
