HEAR, SEE AND FEEL UKRAINE! #zvukymista A project that unites art and technology, childhood memories and people's feelings. On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of Ukraine’s Independence, the sounds of seven cities of Ukraine: Kyiv, Kharkiv, Dnipro, Lviv, Odesa, Mariupol and the combined sound for the Autonomous Republic of Crimea - were recorded and transformed into art objects using sound design programs and 3D rendering. Famous citizens shared their feelings, impressions and the most important moments from their lives, which resulted in 7 documentaries about the sound of Ukrainian cities. Each of 7 sculptures were installed in the sights of Odesa, Dnipro, Lviv, Mariupol, Kharkiv and Crimea (Crimean Platform office), and Kyiv became the final city of synthesis of art and technology that unites the sound of Ukraine. The interdisciplinary project "Sounds of the City", initiated by GOODMEDIA producer Alyona Tymoshenko, Spilne Art founder Nataliia Tkachenko and co-founder of the German audiovisual design studio NotJustForm Lera Ginzburg, brought together 117 incredible people from different professions. The team listened to and analyzed 2,475 recorded sounds, viewed 280 forms of transformed sounds, used 52 hours of virtual reality and 5 tons of metal to create art objects. The exhibition "Sounds of the City" at the National Center "Ukrainian House" will run from November 19 to December 1, whereupon it will travel to different cities of Ukraine and Europe.
